A few highlights from the meeting:
- Frontage Road Construction
Ken Maiberger shared that he attended the Troy Township meeting and also talked to Dave from IDOT . The official target is still December 15th to reopen both lanes, although it could happen sooner. A meeting will be held with homeowners before the Spring construction work resumes for IDOT to share details. The Spring lane closure will have a single lane down the middle that’s 11+ feet wide, which will be much better than the current narrow single lane. There has also been discussion on creating an emergency ramp from the I-55 ramp to the frontage road by Leisure Lake, for emergency use only. - Sue Shukstor has resigned from the board due to her unavailability to attend meetings. Thank you Sue for all your contributions and leading the Halloween costume parade!
- Four new board members were elected: Pete DeCraene, Erik Borne, Julia O’Dell, and Margaret Manthey. Welcome to the board! We have now filled all open vacancies.
- Erik Borne was elected as President and is excited to take on this role.

A few reminders:
- Winter Snow Removal Reminder
During the winter months, Township trucks and road crews will be out plowing and salting the “unincorporated” road areas. We ask that the residents keep their vehicles off the streets when there has been a snowfall so the plows can safely and efficiently plow the streets and cul-de-sacs. Please use extra caution when driving near these vehicles as our trucks, plows and road crews are on the streets working for your safety. - It is unlawful for any person to drive or operate a non-highway vehicle upon any street, highway, or roadway in Illinois.
- Please wear reflective clothing when walking on the streets after dark. It is very difficult to see people on the street at night, even if they have a flashlight.
- The next Camelot Homeowners meeting will take place on January 15, 2025.
